Job summary

UniMed, Christchurch-based health insurer, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to support the Product Simplification Programme. This 12-month fixed-term role will turn complex product and operational information into clear analyses, recommendations and implementation plans to improve member outcomes.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of business analyst experience, ideally in transformation, insurance, financial services or product environments.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with ability to assess complex impacts on products and customers.
• Proven ability to develop business cases, investment proposals and recommendation papers.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and current processes; define clear, fit-for-purpose requirements.
• Support programme delivery by identifying risks, readiness, UAT and transition activities.
• Analyse products, benefits, renewal processes and system rules to identify simplification opportunities.
• Prepare evidence-based recommendations considering member, commercial and operational impacts.
• Facilitate workshops and communicate complex information clearly to support decisions.
