Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with strong API, data, and systems integration skills to bridge business needs and technical delivery. You will lead requirements, craft user stories and documentation, and collaborate with product, engineering, and QA across Agile and SAFe frameworks.

The role emphasizes API design, security awareness, cloud concepts, and hands-on API development experience, with exposure to financial services domains such as payments and banking.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, including significant Technical BA experience
• Strong experience with Swagger, Postman, REST APIs, API contracts, and API integrations
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with Agile/SAFe, Jira, and Confluence
• Understanding of API security, cloud concepts, containerisation, CI/CD, service discovery, and distributed tracing
• Strong SQL, data analysis, and system integration knowledge
• Previous hands-on API development experience would be a strong advantage
• Experience with APIs at scale, API best practices, reusability, resilience, and ITSM practices is desirable
• Banking, payments, credit card, insurance, or broader financial services experience will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into clear technical requirements
• Create high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation
• Work closely with product, engineering, testing, and delivery teams
• Support API design, integration, and API contract definition and maintenance
• Analyse systems, data flows, dependencies, and integration requirements
• Support delivery across Agile and SAFe environments
