Job summary

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Payments Policy team, within the Money Group. Based in Auckland or Wellington, you will support the modernisation of payments to enable faster, more innovative, and better outcomes for New Zealanders.

You will engage with government and industry stakeholders, develop robust policy, and conduct analysis, research and project work to refine policy, regulation and legislation.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional experience in public policy, regulation, or a related area.
• Tertiary qualification in economics/finance/law and/or public policy.
• Collaborative approach with ability to influence key audiences.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
• Excellent relationship management with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across government and industry.
• Contribute to development of policy to be practical, robust and fit for purpose.
• Lead analysis, research, and project work to support policy, regulation, and legislation.
• Provide advice to policy makers and present material to working groups and advisory groups.
