Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Air Traffic Controller for a key facility in Queenstown, NZ. You will direct air traffic safely within assigned airspace, using radar, communications and data processing systems to maintain situational awareness and provide timely clearances.

Lead and mentor junior controllers, participate in ongoing training, and ensure adherence to stringent safety procedures. Requires ATC license, 5+ years' experience, and ability to work rotating shifts on-site.

Qualifications

• Valid Air Traffic Controller License and Ratings from the relevant aviation authority.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Air Traffic Controller.
• Proven experience in managing complex air traffic environments.
• Thorough knowledge of ATC procedures, regulations, and phraseology.

Responsibilities

• Control and direct air traffic in assigned airspace to ensure safe, orderly, and expeditious flow.
• Monitor radar screens, communication frequencies, and flight data systems.
• Issue clearances, advisories, and information to pilots.
• Coordinate with other ATC units and agencies.
• Mentor and train junior air traffic controllers.
