Job summary

Agentic Intelligence in Christchurch is seeking engineers to design, build and operate AI-powered products end-to-end. You’ll own surface areas and ship observable code that delivers real value to users.

You’ll work on APIs, data models, agent workflows, evals and UI; turn user stories into deliverables and measurable outcomes, collaborating with domain experts to create reliable AI solutions.

About us

Agentic Intelligence builds the intelligence layer for business: AI agents and workflow automation that turn messy real-world processes into measurable outcomes. We run production platforms with real clients and real users, currently across property, automotive, financial services, construction and health & safety.

The shape of the work

Models write all of the code we ship. That makes judgment the scarce thing: deciding what to build, knowing when an agent's output is reliable enough to put in front of a user, spotting the clever solution that won’t work in production, and shipping the version that creates value for the end customer.

You’ll design, build and operate AI-powered products end-to-end. APIs, data models, agent workflows, evals, and the UI. You’ll own product surface rather than tickets, sit with the people who use the software, and take ownership over your decisions.

Where you’d land

Early in your career.

Our best early-career engineers were shipping product surface within hours, running their own client conversations inside a week. The way that happens is being handed work beyond you and being told the truth quickly about how it went. What we look for is evidence you build things without being asked.

Senior.

We want someone to help steer. Making architecture calls quickly without clear requirements, going by your gut and living with it. Our teams ship more code in a week than a traditional firm does in a year, so be prepared to keep up. You’d work alongside our lead engineer and tech lead rather than above them, and you’re on the tools, guiding agents to writing code.
