About the Role

As aSenior Advisor in theNational Public Health Service (NPHS)Intelligence Directorate, you willplay a key role in supporting the Directorate's planning, reporting, and integrationsfunctions. You willbring strong written and verbal communication skills, along withexpertisein analysing and interpreting complex informationtocontributeto informed decision-making and the effective delivery of strategic priorities. This permanent, full-time rolesits within the Intelligence Directorate andreports to the National Manager.You will play a key role in supporting the Directorate's planning, reporting, and intelligence functions,contributing to informed decision-making and the effective delivery of strategic priorities.The focus of the role will be:

  • Supporting the Directorate's business planning, performance reporting, and business intelligence activities.
  • Managing and delivering small projects across a range of operational and strategic priorities.
  • Collating, analysing, and synthesising information from multiple sources toidentifyinsights, investigate issues, and inform solutions.
  • Providing high-quality analysis, advice, and reporting using data, research, and intelligence tools to support the Directorate's goals andobjectives.

About you

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking ahandsonapproach to a diverse range of work. You will bring proven experience in an advisory role,using critical thinking, sound judgement, and strong analytical skills to develop options andprovidequality advice. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will beconfident preparing clear, concise, and meaningful reports and recommendations. You willalso have experience managing small projects from initiation through to successfulcompletion, using workflow management tools to track progress and deliver outcomes.Experience in business planning and reporting, along with the ability to build effectiverelationships and engage confidently with senior stakeholders, will be highly valued.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
  • Minimum five years' relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in an advisory role, providing strategic advice and recommendations.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality outputs.
  • Experience managing and delivering small projects successfully.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office andmodernworkflow managementtools, like Jira.systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and across diverse teams.
