Job summary

Environmental Protection Authority NZ in Wellington is seeking a Senior Advisor Reporting and Assurance to lead high-quality performance reporting and risk-based assurance within the CME Group. You will design reporting frameworks and deliver assurance reviews that assess regulatory systems and practices, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders.

You will connect reporting and continuous improvement to strengthen accountability, organisational learning and regulatory performance

Qualifications

• Substantial experience delivering high-quality performance, governance or regulatory reporting in a complex organisation.
• Experience designing and delivering risk-based assurance reviews, audits or evaluations.
• Strong analytical skills to assess data quality, trends and gaps.
• Excellent written communication translating complex information into concise insights.
• Experience developing or improving reporting frameworks and performance measures.
• Ability to assess evidence against legislation, standards and procedures.
• Experience identifying systemic issues and monitoring improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality performance reporting and risk-based assurance work across CME.
• Design and maintain reporting frameworks, measures and products.
• Deliver assurance reviews assessing effectiveness and consistency of CME's regulatory systems.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Support teams to implement and monitor practical improvements.
• Link reporting, assurance and continuous improvement to strengthen accountability.
