Ministry of Justice in Wellington seeks a Senior Advisor, Learning & Development, to lead the learning approach for the Te Au Reka digital transformation, ensuring inclusive, effective pathways for staff, judiciary, and partners. Te Au Reka represents the opportunity of a lifetime, making a profound difference to those who work in and interact with our courts and tribunals. We are transforming the way people access and experience justice in Aotearoa New Zealand by replacing highly manual, time‑consuming, paper‑based processes with a new digital case management solution.
As one of the Senior Advisors for the Te Au Reka programme, you will lead the development and delivery of the learning approach that will equip our diverse learner groups—ranging from Ministry staff, judiciary, and legal professionals to third‑party providers and participants—with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage confidently with our new digital solution. You will oversee the planning, scoping, design, and delivery of sustainable learning pathways, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. Your role is critical in empowering learners and aligning learning solutions with the Ministry's strategic goals.
Reporting to the Learning Lead for Te Au Reka, you will collaborate with the Te Au Reka Change and Process teams, operational groups, and key stakeholders including justice partners to develop and deliver the learning approach. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic project environment—someone organised, proactive, and adaptable. If you bring strong experience in learning and development, can influence stakeholders effectively, and are ready to make a real impact, this is the role for you. The salary band for this role is $99,208 - $135,539. The appointing salary will be between $99,208 - $127,683, based on skills and experience.
