Job summary

Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development NZ seeks an experienced Senior Advisor to join its Knowledge Management team on a fixed term/secondment to February 2027.

You will provide advice on information and knowledge management across the ministry’s digital environment, ensure compliance with government legislation such as the Public Records Act, and lead enhancement of MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive usage.

Qualifications

• Significant experience providing information and knowledge management advice in a government context.
• Operational support for management of information, records and knowledge sources across corporate and digital environments.
• Deep understanding of information management within MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Ability to provide direction to a modern information environment.
• Preferably information management certification.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Knowledge Management team.

The team’s primary purpose is providing support and advice for effective management of the Ministry’s information and knowledge across its digital environment and ensuring compliance with legislation applicable to government agencies (e.g. Public Records Act 2005).

Skills And Experience

You will bring:

• Significant experience providing information and knowledge management advice in a modern government context


• Experience providing operational support for the management of information, records and knowledge sources across corporate and digital environments


• A deep understanding of information management within MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive


• Able to provide thought leadership and direction to a modern information environment


• Preferably an information management certification

Salary range

Salary range for this role is $111,827 - $135,738 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
