Job summary

MCERT is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor to join the Knowledge Management team in Wellington. The role focuses on providing guidance for the Ministry's information and knowledge across its digital environment and ensuring compliance with public records legislation.

You will lead information management initiatives, support operational workflows, and contribute to modernising our records and knowledge practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience providing information and knowledge management advice in a modern government context.
• Experience providing operational support for the management of information, records and knowledge sources across corporate and digital environments.
• A deep understanding of information management within MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Able to provide thought leadership and direction to a modern information environment.
• Preferably an information management certification
• ShareGate experience preferable

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Knowledge Management team. The team's primary purpose is providing support and advice for effective management of the Ministry's information and knowledge across its digital environment and ensuring compliance with legislation applicable to government agencies (e.g. Public Records Act 2005).

Skills and Experience

You will bring:

• Significant experience providing information and knowledge management advice in a modern government context
• Experience providing operational support for the management of information, records and knowledge sources across corporate and digital environments
• A deep understanding of information management within MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
• Able to provide thought leadership and direction to a modern information environment
• Preferably an information management certification
• ShareGate experience preferable

Salary range

Salary range Salary range for this role is $111,827 - $135,738 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
