Job summary

The Ministry of Justice in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Advisor, Strategy & Performance to provide high-quality strategic advice, lead analysis of trends, and help design performance frameworks that drive organisational accountability and improvement.

You will work across the Ministry with senior leaders and stakeholders to strengthen strategic alignment and deliver meaningful outcomes, applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and influencing strategic decision-making.

Job Description

As a Senior Advisor, Strategy & Performance, you will provide high-quality strategic advice, lead analysis of emerging trends and future opportunities, and help design performance frameworks that enable organisational accountability and improvement. You'll work across the Ministry, collaborating with senior leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen strategic alignment and deliver meaningful outcomes.

  • Develop strategic advice, insights, and future-focused analysis
  • Support enterprise strategy, planning, and performance frameworks
  • Monitor and report on strategic priorities, KPIs, and organisational outcomes
  • Contribute to key accountability documents, including the Statement of Intent and Annual Report
  • Build trusted relationships and influence strategic decision-making across the Ministry

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The remuneration band for this role is $112,766 to $154,680. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
