Job summary

Presbyterian Support National is seeking an Agricultural Machinery Operator to join our farming operation in Otago. This permanent, full-time role focuses on operating agricultural machinery across day-to-day and seasonal tasks, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours.

Applicants should have agricultural study or at least two years of practical experience in agriculture, and a genuine interest in machinery and farming operations. Training will be provided and OT may be required during peak periods.

Applicants must have a good understanding of agriculture gained through either relevant agricultural study or at least two years of practical work experience in an agricultural environment.

• Operating harvesting machinery
• Operating sprayers and crop application machinery
• Operating balers and other seasonal agricultural machinery
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
• Working safely around staff, vehicles, machinery and crops
• Assisting with other machinery-related agricultural duties when required

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Poven a gricultural study; or
• At least two years of work experience in agriculture

• Have a genuine interest in agricultural machinery and farming operations
• Be comfortable working outdoors and around machinery
• Take instructions well and be willing to learn new skills

• Be willing to work additional hours, weekends or public holidays when required during peak periods
