Drummond And Etheridge in Otago is seeking an Agricultural Machinery Operator to support our farming operation. This permanent, full-time role focuses on operating tractors, harvesters, sprayers, balers and other seasonal machinery across day-to-day farming activities.

You will work outdoors, be safety-conscious, reliable, and willing to learn. The position offers training and opportunities to develop skills on a range of agricultural equipment, with a guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a good understanding of agriculture gained through either relevant agricultural study or at least two years of practical work experience in an agricultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and associated agricultural implements
• Operate harvesting machinery
• Operate sprayers and crop application machinery
• Operate balers and other seasonal agricultural machinery
• Follow health and safety procedures
• Work safely around staff, vehicles, machinery and crops
• Assist with other machinery-related agricultural duties when required
