Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• Proficiency in SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
