SkyCity Hamilton is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our friendly team. You’ll provide front-line security services, protect customers, staff and property, and handle ad-hoc requests with a can-do attitude.

This full-time role operates on a rotating roster with night shifts and weekend availability. You’ll be the first point of contact for issues, require strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to think on your feet.

Qualifications

• Must have background in Security and be at least 20 years old.
• Willing to obtain COA involving credit and criminal history checks.
• Availability for Friday and Saturday nights on a rotating roster.

Our Security Officers are a vital part of our team providing front-line Security services to protect the safety and security of our customers, staff and property. They're a dedicated and hardworking team who are often the first point of call for any issues that arise. As well as ad-hoc requests, they'll have a rotation of daily tasks to get involved in providing heaps of variety on the job.

This is a full-time role working on a rotating roster - night shift and weekend availability is required for this position. Preference will be given to candidates who are flexible in their availability.

Being a customer service role, you'll be someone who loves dealing with customers and you'll have a positive attitude to boot. You'll enjoy putting in the effort with your appearance, always looking your best and you'll be happy standing for long periods of time. Obviously, you'll be friendly and approachable, but you'll also be professional and able to quickly think on your feet where needed. You'll love talking to our customers and have great communication skills both written and verbal, and you know the importance of being a team player.

The must-have's

Firstly, you'll need to be at least 20 years of age and have a background in Security. You will need to hold or be able to obtain a COA which involves passing a credit and criminal history check. Our busiest periods at SkyCity are weekends, so availability to work Friday and Saturday nights is essential. It would also help if you had some basic computer skills.
