## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Mō te tūnga | About the role**You will contribute to the security and protective service of NZDF staff and visitors covering the Wellington Region. You will maintain physical security and safety and assist with emergency and evacuation procedures.This role has lots of variety and opportunities for development. Rotate through reception, patrols, control room duties and other duties while on shift.We operate a rotating four on/four off roster, which includes day and night shifts at our Wellington CBD location. This role may also be required to support our NZDF locations in the Hutt Valley region. However, within this pattern, you may be able to work Monday to Friday with weekends off at times.You will:* Undergo ongoing training to improve and update standards and professionalism.* Recognise, report on and take appropriate action on incidents, risks, breaches and suspicious behaviour.* Be appropriately assertive and directive, de-escalate situations.* Use your relationship management and communication skills to deal with staff, visitors and others in a helpful and positive way.The total remuneration for this role is between $74,435 and $88,356 **inclusive** of 4% super contribution **and** salary loading payment.
