Job summary

IAG in Auckland is seeking a Security Architecture Operations & Delivery Manager to lead a team of Security Architects and partner with senior technology leaders. You will drive workforce strategy, governance, and capability planning to ensure the function meets current and future business needs.

Based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), this permanent full-time role involves strategic planning, service delivery, and ongoing capability development to strengthen security outcomes and stakeholder trust.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical, cyber security, technology, or professional services teams in complex organisational environments.
• Strong people leadership skills with a passion for developing capability and high-performing teams.
• Experience leading workforce strategy, demand and capacity planning, and operational management in complex environments.
• Ability to build strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders and align plans to business priorities.
• Understanding of cyber security, architecture, or regulated environments.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Security Architects, creating an inclusive, high-performing environment.
• Oversee the operational performance of the Security Architecture function, governance, reporting, and service delivery.
• Partner with delivery leads to develop strategic workforce plans and capacity.
• Establish strategic partnerships to embed security thinking into planning and investment decisions.
• Drive governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion culture, mentoring, and community-building programs.
• Contribute to technology and portfolio planning with strategic insights.
• Drive the long-term evolution of the operating model and value delivery.
