Job summary

Pakuranga Kindergarten invites a qualified and registered ECE Kaiako to join our passionate teaching team. This permanent position focuses on inclusive, play-based learning where tamariki explore, connect with nature, and develop lifelong learning habits.

The Kaiako will collaborate with whānau and the community, celebrate Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and weave te reo Māori into daily practice while supporting sustainability and kaitiakitanga. Applications close 31st October 2026.

Qualifications

• A qualified, registered, and certificated ECE Kaiako.
• Experience with tamariki in early childhood education (ideally 10+ years).
• Confident in bicultural practice and te ao Māori integration.

Responsibilities

• Inspire tamariki through play-based learning, fostering curiosity and resilience.
• Build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the wider community.
• Celebrate cultural diversity and embed bicultural practices.
• Incorporate sustainability and kaitiakitanga into daily teaching.

• Contribute to ongoing professional learning within the team.
