Job summary

Mitre 10 MEGA Petone is seeking three enthusiastic Seasonal Team Members for an in-store, customer-facing role. You’ll help customers find BBQs, heating solutions, outdoor furniture, and garden products while learning our systems and processes.

Join a supportive team with fixed shifts (15 hours across Fri/Sat, Sun/Mon, or Sun). You’ll gain hands-on experience, staff discounts, and a stable roster in a busy home-improvement retail environment.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for customer service and sales.
• A strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
• Strong attention to detail and flexibility.
• Physical capability for manual handling, prolonged standing, and ladder use.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety practices.

A bit about the role…

We're on the lookout for threeenthusiastic Seasonal Team Members. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where no two days are the same.

You'll be helping customers bring their homes and outdoor spaces to life - whether that's finding the perfect BBQ, heating solution, outdoor furniture, or seasonal garden products.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Delivering exceptional in-store and after-sales customer service
• Assisting customers with product selection and purchasing decisions
• Maintaining stock integrity and eye-catching merchandising
• Building product knowledge to better support our customers
• Supporting general store operations as part of a wider team

We have three FIXED TERM roles available:

• Role 1:Friday & Saturday (15 hours per week)
• Role 2: Sunday & Monday (15 hours per week)

Role 3: Sunday (7.5 hours per week)
