Job summary

Jack's Point in Otago, New Zealand, invites you to join during the final construction and grow-in of a landmark golf course at Glendhu Bay. You will assist greens, tees, fairways and surrounds, supporting the build and landscape development while upholding safety and quality on site.

This seasonal contract runs from September/October through to mid/end April, offering hands-on turf management experience with modern machinery, irrigation oversight, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Turf Management, Landscape or Horticulture qualification preferred; relevant experience accepted.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work.
• Experience operating turf machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Physical fitness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the grow-in and establishment of greens, tees, fairways and surrounds.
• Support the final stages of golf course construction and landscape development.
• Operate and maintain turf equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with monitoring irrigation systems and maintain newly established turf areas.
• Operate state-of-the-art course machinery and maintenance facilities.
• Maintain the highest standards of course presentation, quality and safety.

About You

• A Turf Management, Landscape or Horticulture qualification or relevant industry experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high quality work every day.
• Experience operating turf machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices within a team environment.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic with a desire to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including early starts when required.
