Job summary

Glendhu Golf Course in Wanaka is seeking a turf professional to join during the grow-in phase of a brand-new championship golf course. You will assist with greens, tees and fairways establishment, while supporting the final stages of construction and landscape development.

You will operate turf equipment, monitor irrigation, and contribute to high standards of course presentation and safety throughout the seasonal period from September/October through April.

Qualifications

• Turf Management, Landscape or Horticulture qualification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high quality work.
• Experience operating turf machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices within a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist grow-in and establishment of greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds.
• Support final stages of course construction and landscape development.

About You

• A Turf Management, Landscape or Horticulture qualification or relevant industry experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high quality work every day.
• Experience operating turf machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices within a team environment.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic with a desire to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including early starts when required.
