Job summary

Sealord invites aspiring engineers to join our crew aboard deep-sea vessels as a Trainee Factory Engineer. Earn while you learn, gain qualifications, and build a rewarding marine engineering career.

You'll work with experienced teams, benefit from structured training, and experience a unique lifestyle at sea with 12-hour shifts and 2–6 week voyages. This role requires a hands-on mindset, a trade qualification, and a real commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • Previous engineering or mechanical experience.
  • Trade qualification such as Diesel Mechanic, Fitter and Turner, or Mechanical Engineering Trades.
  • Experience repairing, servicing, or maintaining machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair machinery aboard deep-sea vessels.
  • Receive hands-on training and develop technical skills.
  • Work in a trip-on, trip-off rotation with 12-hour shifts.
