Job summary

BidOne is seeking an experienced SDET for a 12-month fixed-term engagement in Auckland, NZ. You will work across four squads and help deliver high-quality software through test automation, performance testing, and robust E2E frameworks.

You will contribute to CI/CD automation, shift-left/right practices, and AI-enabled testing, leaving behind reusable assets for the permanent team. This role requires collaboration with product and engineering, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering test automation on comparable enterprise engagements, ideally as a contractor or consultant.
• Strong interest in software architecture.
• Excited about AI-powered testing and applying it in daily work.
• Comfortable with cloud environments (Azure).
• Solid understanding of modern automation test frameworks.
• Willing to lead new direction or standards.
• Graduate with CS/Info Systems/Engineering or a proven self-taught professional.

Responsibilities

• Slot into one or more active squads and learn quickly.
• Maintain quality and delivery cadence for high-priority projects.
• Design effective test plans to deliver value to the customer.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing with delivery and business owners.
• Ensure security and regulatory checks are performed before release.
