Job summary

Tait Communications in Christchurch, NZ is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join our Verification & V&V team. This hands-on role focuses on complex systems across the product lifecycle, reviewing test plans, designs, and other documents while mentoring others and promoting best practices.

You will design and execute automated and manual tests, develop test strategies, maintain Python-based frameworks, and work with Jira to track defects and drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in technical testing in complex systems environments.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Strong Python development skills and coding best practices for test automation.
• Ability to lead or coordinate testing activities across multiple teams.
• Collaborative mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Interest in leveraging new technologies, including AI, to enhance testing practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, design, and execute testing activities across complex projects.
• Develop test strategies, estimates, and test plans for effective coverage.
• Design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests.
• Capture, analyse, and validate requirements to meet customer needs.
• Maintain Python-based automated test frameworks and tooling.
• Apply robust QA and coding practices to improve product quality.
• Identify, investigate, and manage defects using Jira with development teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
