Burnside High School invites applications for a Certificated teacher of Science (Secondary Years 7-15 / wharekura) to join our Science Faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position, with a preference for Biology or Physics expertise to support high-quality teaching across our Science programme.

The successful applicant will teach Science across year levels, engaging students through well-planned, inclusive practice and contributing to the wider Faculty and school life.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Science across secondary year levels is expected.
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science to students across Years 7–15 with engaging, inclusive classroom practice.
• Collaborate with the Science Faculty to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning.
