Job summary

Burnside High School in Christchurch invites applications for a full-time, permanent Teacher of Dance. The role predominantly teaches Dance but requires delivering across one or more additional subjects, within a supportive, high-performing school.

You will teach across Years 7–15 and wharekura, applying inclusive teaching, strong curriculum knowledge, and culturally responsive practices aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Qualifications

Burnside High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Dance to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position, predominantly teaching Dance but with the requirement to teach across one or more additional subjects. The role supports high-quality teaching and learning within our programme.

The successful applicant will be able to teach across a range of year levels, with the ability to engage and motivate students through well-planned, inclusive, and effective classroom practice.
