Job summary

Auckland Girls' Grammar School is seeking an inspiring, innovative Science teacher for Years 7–15 and wharekura, with expertise in chemistry and/or physics, to ignite curiosity and a genuine passion for science in our learners.

The successful candidate will deliver motivating, differentiated learning experiences, collaborate within a supportive team, and contribute to the school's extra-curricular programme. This is a full-time, permanent position starting 28 January 2027.

Science

We are seeking an inspiring, innovative, and highly relational Science educator with expertise in chemistry and/or physics to ignite curiosity and a genuine passion for science in our learners. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and engaging communicator who can deliver motivating, differentiated learning experiences that challenge, support, and inspire students across a range of abilities.

The successful candidate will bring a deep passion for their subject, a commitment to excellent teaching, and the ability to make science relevant, engaging, and accessible to all learners. Good organisational skills and a collaborative approach to working within a supportive team environment are essential.

A particular interest in girls’ education, experience in working in a diverse multicultural environment and a willingness to be involved with our school's extra-curricula programme will be added advantages.

This is a full-time, permanent position beginning on 28 January 2027.
