Job summary

Wesley Primary School in Auckland, North Island, seeks a passionate Scale A teacher for Year 3/4 to join our Pīwakawaka Team. You will deliver engaging, inclusive learning aligned with the refreshed NZ Curriculum and our local curriculum.

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Nestled in the heart of Wesley, Puketāpapa, our kura is guided by our vision Ki te mārama and our values of Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, and Whakamana. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Scale A teacher to join our Pīwakawaka Team - Year 3/4.

We are looking for someone who:

• Builds strong, respectful relationships with ākonga, whānau, and colleagues.
• Is reflective, culturally sustaining, and committed to equity in education.
• Understands relational neuroscience, is committed to the practice, and engages in ongoing professional growth within this kaupapa.
• Brings creativity, curiosity, and optimism to student learning and wellbeing.
• Has a strong interest in play-based learning and experiential pedagogies.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, inclusive learning experiences aligned with the refreshed NZ Curriculum and our local curriculum.
• Collaborate within and across teams to support smooth transitions and coherent learning pathways.
• Utilise classroom data to run agile teaching sprints for target student groups.
