Job summary

Elim Christian College Henderson is seeking a Scale A teacher to join our community in a fixed-term, 0.4 FTTE position. The role blends specialist curriculum teaching with Classroom Release Time (CRT) across Year 1–8 classes, supporting rich and practical learning experiences.

The successful candidate will deliver a dedicated Technology programme for Year 7–8 ākonga, engaging students in design, problem-solving and hands-on activities within authentic contexts.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering blended curriculum across Arts, Technology and Science.
• Ability to design practical, hands-on learning experiences.
• Experience with Classroom Release Time (CRT) programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a tailored learning programme across Arts, Technology and Science for Years 1–8.
• Lead a specialised Technology programme for Years 7–8 with authentic, project-based contexts.

We have a unique opportunity for a passionate and innovative Scale A teacher to join our school community in a fixed-term, 0.4 FTTE position combining specialist curriculum teaching and Classroom Release Time (CRT).

The successful applicant will work primarily with our Year 4 and Year 5/6 classes, designing and delivering a tailored learning programme across curriculum areas including the Arts, Technology and Science. This programme forms part of our CRT provision and provides an exciting opportunity to develop rich, practical and engaging learning experiences that complement students’ homeroom programmes.

The role will also include responsibility for delivering a specialised Technology programme for our Year 7 and 8 ākonga, providing opportunities for students to engage in purposeful design, problem-solving, creativity and practical learning. We are particularly interested in an applicant who can bring Technology to life through authentic contexts and hands-on experiences.
