Job summary

Pongakawa School in the Bay of Plenty region seeks Scale A Classroom Teachers for 2027 to cover Years 1–8 in a vibrant rural kura. We value relational pedagogy, inquiry-driven learning, and strong teamwork to support every learner.

Successful candidates will join a supportive staff dedicated to nurturing tamariki and whānau. These are full-time, fixed-term positions starting 28 January 2027 and ending 16 December 2027 (teachers on leave).

Qualifications

• NZ-registered teacher with current practising certificate.
• Experience delivering structured, inquiry-driven learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships with tamariki and whānau.
