Pukekawa School invites a Certificated teacher to join our small rural team for Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) teaching. The role requires strong behaviour management, a team player approach, and a good sense of humour. Experience as SENCO or in creative arts is an advantage.
The position starts late January 2027 with three Teacher Only Days as part of our collaborative, hands-on school community in a rural setting.

Pukekawa School is a small rural school with 83 students organised into 4 classes. They are multi-levelled classrooms with incredible tamariki who love learning.
We are looking for a new team member who has a sense of humour, works hard and is a team player. The job will require a teacher who has strong behaviour management experience and is not afraid to step in, to support fellow staff members; we are a small team with lots of roles/responsibilities to cover, and no extra renumeration available.
We want someone who will join our team and love coming to work in our small rural environment. Any creative art or SENCO experience is an advantage.
