Job summary

Kiwi Lumber seeks a skilled Sawmill Operator to join its team at Pokeno. You will run sawmill machinery, perform grading tasks and assist with related duties while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on work, basic numeracy and computer skills, with opportunities for growth through training and on-site promotion.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a Sawmill Operator is preferred.
• Able to undertake manual/physical duties.
• Good written skills, numeracy and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate sawmill machinery/control panels and equipment.
• Complete documentation and systems as required.
• Undertake product grading and quality checks.
• Support the team with other duties as needed.

Ideally you will have:

• Minimum two years' experience as a Sawmill Operator
• Experience undertaking manual/physical duties
• Sound written, numeracy and computer skills
• Experience with a Grapple Loader
