Te Papapa School is seeking an inspiring teacher to lead our Samoan Enrichment Class from 2027. You will teach primarily in English using the NZ Curriculum while authentically embedding Gagana Samoa, Fa’a Samoa, and cultural values.

The role emphasizes formative practice, culturally responsive pedagogy and high expectations. Strong whānau partnerships, collaborative practice and a commitment to inclusive, equitable learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering culturally responsive teaching in a NZ Curriculum context.
• Ability to embed Samoan language and culture (Gagana Samoa, Fa’a Samoa) within lessons.
• Commitment to formative assessment and reflective practice.
• Strong collaboration with whānau, staff and students to support equity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Samoan Enrichment Class starting 2027.
