Job summary

Rosehill College in Auckland seeks a dynamic, passionate teacher of Gagana Sāmoa to join our Languages faculty. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura with current NZ teacher registration and knowledge of the NZ curriculum.

The successful candidate will demonstrate differentiated teaching, innovative use of digital technology, and a collaborative approach to raise student achievement.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand teacher registration.
• Clear understanding of the NZ curriculum and NCEA.
• Experience with differentiated teaching in a secondary setting.
• Experience using digital technology to enhance learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach Gagana Sāmoa to Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura.
• Collaborate withLanguages faculty to raise student achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum and assessment planning.

We seek a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Gagana Sāmoa to join our Languages faculty.

Applicants should have a current New Zealand teacher registration and a working knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum. The successful candidate will have:

• a genuine passion for teaching and a clear understanding of NCEA
• experience in differentiated teaching
• experience in innovative teaching using digital technology
• ability to be a team player who will work collaboratively to raise student achievement
• knowledge of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ensure te reo me ōna Tikanga are upheld
• relational practices to tautoko positive relationships within our kura.

A commitment to mana ōrite mō te mātauranga māori, and cultural responsiveness is also essential.
