Wiri Central School in Auckland is seeking a dynamic Samoan-speaking teacher to join Fofoa i Vaoese, our Samoan bilingual team. The three classes cater for students from Year 0 to Year 8.

The fixed-term role runs 28 January 2027 to 17 December 2027. Ideal applicants will be familiar with the New Zealand Curriculum, have strong communication skills, and be able to form reciprocal learning relationships with students and aiga.

Qualifications

• Familiar with the New Zealand Curriculum.
• Ability to communicate in both Samoan and English.
• Willing to plan collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Promote student-led learning and inquiry.
• Teach across Years 0–8 in a bilingual setting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and reflect.
