Job summary

Rānui Primary School in Auckland invites a caring, reflective kaiako to join the Toloa A‘oa‘oina Sāmoan bilingual team, teaching Year 1–2 tamariki in 2027 on a fixed-term basis.

You will contribute to learning across English, health and PE and te reo Māori and gagana Sāmoa, building strong whānau partnerships and inclusive, culturally responsive practice. Experienced and beginning teachers welcomed; start date 27 January 2027, end date 17 December 2027.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher with primary/intermediate teaching background.
• Experience or willingness to engage in Sāmoan bilingual education and te reo Māori development.
• Commitment to student success and inclusive learning, with strong relationships with whānau.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 1–2 tamariki in 2027 within a Sāmoan bilingual team.
• Deliver learning across English, health and physical education, languages, maths, science, social studies, technology and the arts.
• Build strong relationships with whānau and provide inclusive, culturally responsive teaching.
