Job summary

1OO% Gary Pyes Appliances in Waiuku (Auckland region) invites a Sales Representative/Business Development/Assistant Store Manager to join the team. You will drive sales, support day-to-day store operations, and help lead the team in the Store Manager's absence, developing leadership and customer-focused skills.

You will provide product advice and demonstrations, maintain store presentation, manage stock, participate in local marketing, and benefit from an attractive hourly rate with commission

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of retail sales experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
• Experience in Home Appliances, Electronics or Whiteware preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.

Sales Representative/Business Development/Assistant Store Manager

As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales performance, supporting day-to-day store operations, and helping lead our team to success. You will work closely with the Store Manager and take responsibility for the store in their absence, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills. Providing product advice, demonstrations, and education to customers will be a significant part of your role, ensuring every customer receives the best solution for their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and achieve personal and team sales targets.
• Maintain exceptional store presentation and merchandising standards.
• Support and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build long-term customer relationships.
• Demonstrate superior selling and closing skills.
• Assist with business development initiatives.
• Support local marketing and promotional activities.
• Manage stock ordering and inventory requirements.
• Attend supplier training sessions to continuously expand product knowledge.
• Ensure smooth store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

• Must be currently living in Waiuku or be willing and able to travel to Waiuku for work.
