Job summary

Giltrap Group is seeking a Sales Manager - Geely in Auckland, leading retail performance for Geely with NordEast Vehicle Distributors. You will develop dealer relationships, drive targets, monitor market trends, and manage campaigns and inventory alongside product and marketing teams.

Our ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive sales leadership, strong forecasting, CRM experience, and a proven ability to coach dealer networks to achieve sustainable growth and superior customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in automotive sales leadership and dealer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyse forecasting and market opportunities.
• Demonstrated leadership capability including coaching and developing teams.
• Experience using CRM, sales reporting, and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing retail sales targets, performance measures, and sales programmes.
• Building relationships with Dealer Principals, Sales Managers, and dealership teams to drive performance.
• Monitoring sales results, market trends, customer satisfaction, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Managing sales incentives, campaigns, initiatives, and regular dealer network engagement.
• Ensuring effective management of vehicle inventory and aged stock.
• Collaborating with Product and Marketing on new model launches, tools, training, and events.
• Preparing accurate sales forecasts and monitoring performance against budgets.
• Leading and coaching the Sales & Logistics Coordinator and collaborating with manufacturers.

As Sales Manager - Geely, you will play a pivotal role in driving the brand's growth, working closely with dealer partners to deliver strong sales results, exceptional customer outcomes, and sustainable market share growth.

The role sits within NordEast Vehicle Distributors, a Giltrap Group company and the only automotive distributor globally to represent all six Geely Group brands: Geely, Zeekr, Farizon, Volvo, Polestar and Lotus. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and managing retail sales targets, performance measures, and sales programmes.
• Building strong relationships with Dealer Principals, Sales Managers, and dealership teams to drive performance and brand standards.
• Monitoring sales results, market trends, customer satisfaction, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Managing sales incentives, campaigns, initiatives, and regular dealer network engagement.
• Ensuring effective management of vehicle inventory and aged stock.
• Working with Product and Marketing teams on new model launches, brand initiatives, sales tools, training, and events.
• Preparing accurate sales forecasts, monitoring performance against budgets and targets, and managing approved sales expenditure.
• Leading, coaching, and developing the Sales & Logistics Coordinator while collaborating with manufacturers and internal teams.

About You

Our ideal candidate is a commercially focused automotive sales leader who can build trusted dealer relationships, turn performance insights into action, and motivate others to achieve results. You should also have:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in the automotive industry, including leading sales performance, dealer relationships, and commercial outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse sales performance, forecasting, and market opportunities.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching, developing, and managing team performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to motivate and achieve results through an external dealer network.
• Experience using CRM, sales reporting, and business systems.
• The ability to build effective relationships across dealer networks and cross-functional teams; manufacturer or distributor experience would be advantageous.
