Job summary

Eagers Automotive in Auckland is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead day-to-day new vehicle retail operations and develop a high-performing team. You will manage stock, drive customer engagement and ensure exceptional customer experiences in a busy Auckland dealership.

The role focuses on achieving sales targets, leading by example, and implementing strategic plans across the sales department, with opportunities for leadership development and a competitive remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience managing a Sales department with budgeting, stock control, pre-delivery liaison, CRM processes and relevant legislation.
• Proven leadership and performance-driven mindset with a track record of achieving targets.
• Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work permit and a full, clean drivers licence.

We are looking for a customer focused, goal orientated, high performing Sales Manager to join our team and help Eagers Automotive deliver their 'Next 100 years' strategy.

This role will lead day to day new vehicle retail operations, oversee the management and development of the high calibre team, whilst ensuring optimal operational performance and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

This role will see you:

• Manage stock control, maintain a strong accurate and constant presence of on-line listings
• Actively assist the sales team with customer data base utilization for both retail and fleet opportunities
• Leading by example with all customer engagement, utilising customer satisfaction scoring to improve and maintain customer experience
• Actively trade-in, and sell both new and ex-demonstrator vehicles, ensuring that the department meets its sales targets
• Leading the sales team, creating a high-performing team, supporting staff engagement, and ensuring best practice is carried out across all areas
• Hiring and training sales staff, and developing a departmental strategic plan
• Accountability of all administrative tasks in the sales department, with the use of strong organisation and time management skills
• Act as a liaison between the Sales department, other departments, and the Leadership team

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 3 years' experience managing a Sales department with in-depth knowledge of budgeting, stock control, pre-delivery liaison, CRM processes and all relevant legislation
