Job summary

SITECH Construction NZ in Hamilton, New Zealand, seeks a Sales and Technical Support Consultant to blend sales with customer support. You will split time between onsite client visits and our Auckland office to drive growth.

You will own technical support for Trimble's Civil Construction Field Solution, Geospatial and Machine Control products, build relationships, pursue market opportunities, participate in training, and represent SITECH NZ at events.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering/surveying role or in sales within construction.
• Geospatial qualification highly regarded; extensive geospatial experience may substitute.
• Experience with Trimble geospatial products is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers using a consultative, value-driven approach.
• Identify market opportunities and grow business to meet sales targets.
• Participate in training and support meetings to continuously improve technical knowledge.
• Provide remote and onsite support to clients in field and office.
• Represent SITECH NZ at trade shows and industry events.

About the role

We welcome applications from the wider Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.

The role blends sales and customer support, involving regular onsite visits to customer offices as well as scheduled time in our Auckland office to drive business growth and deliver training and support. You will take ownership of technical support for customers, covering Trimble's Civil Construction Field Solution, Geospatial and Machine Control Technology products and solutions.

Typical duties include:

• Building relationships with customers demonstrating a consultative and value-add approach
• Exploring market opportunities and developing business to maximise growth and achieve sales targets
• Actively taking part in training, support meetings for continuous improvement in technical knowledge
• Providing remote and onsite support to clients located in the field and office
• Attending trade shows and functions on behalf of SITECH New Zealand
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time

About you

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Successful experience in an engineering/surveying role in the construction industry or in a sales role.
• A tertiary qualification in spatial sciences/geomatics/surveying would be highly regarded for this role, but extensive experience in the geospatial industry may substitute for a formal qualification
• Experience with Trimble geospatial products is highly desirable, but not mandatory
• You are a passionate, driven, dynamic individual who thrives on learning new systems on an ongoing basis, and staying up to date with the latest technologies
• A team-player who is also able to work autonomously
• Must have the ability to rapidly absorb new technical skills and learn on the fly
• Willing to visit local and state-wide customers to provide on-site support and training
