Job summary

Trimble NZ in Christchurch is offering a 12-week paid internship in our Geospatial team, delivering hands-on experience with field data collection and the release of Trimble Access software. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure high-quality workflows for surveyors and geospatial professionals globally.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a tertiary qualification in Surveying or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative team player.
  • Willingness to work outdoors for field testing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end system testing from a customer perspective.
  • Field test with Trimble hardware.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to provide feedback on new features and verify software fixes within an Agile development cycle.
  • Drive quality by identifying and reporting bugs or system improvements for cloud-based workflows and connected Trimble products.
  • Currently working towards a tertiary qualification in Surveying, Geography, Surveying, or a related field.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to work within a highly collaborative team.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a changing technical environment.
  • A willingness to work outdoors for field-based testing and data collection activities.
  • Must be legally authorised to work in New Zealand.
