NZTA is seeking Compliance Officers to join our teams around Aotearoa New Zealand. You will conduct audits, assess compliance, prepare evidence-based assessments, and work with senior colleagues on complex matters.

Travel across regions is required; a full driver license is essential. We offer ongoing training, a salary range of NZ$80,388–NZ$89,320 per year, and a supportive environment with flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering audits and reviews using a risk-based approach to assess compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements in a practical and consistent manner.
• Strong risk assessment skills, with the ability to identify compliance issues and recommend appropriate actions.
• Proven experience gathering, analysing, and documenting information to support audits, reviews, and investigations.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate, undertake, and decide on audits and reviews of regulated parties to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Collect, analyse, and evaluate information to identify non-compliance or emerging risk and inform decisions.
• Prepare clear, accurate assessments and recommendations, escalating complex matters to Senior Compliance Officer with context.
• Maintain records in line with legislative and information management requirements.
