Job summary

Rydges Auckland via EVT Limited is hiring a Room Attendant to maintain spotless guest rooms, public spaces and hotel facilities. You will meet our standards for cleanliness, hygiene and guest comfort while supporting a busy hotel roster.

The role requires physical stamina, weekend/evening availability and a collaborative, proactive approach. On-the-job perks include meals, discounted dining and stays, parking, and opportunities for rapid career growth across EVT's hotels and entertainment

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting.
• Physical stamina to lift and move items.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites, including beds, dusting, vacuuming and sanitising surfaces.
• Replace linens and towels as needed, ensuring cleanliness.
• Restock toiletries and towels to hotel standards.
• Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies and hallways.
• Report maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Team.
• Handle lost and found items per hotel policy.

About the Role

As a Room Attendant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. You'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities to meet our standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming and sanitising all surfaces.
• Replace linens and towels as needed, ensuring they are clean and in good condition.
• Restock guest room amenities such as toiletries and towels to hotel standards.
• Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways and common spaces.
• Report any maintenance issues, damaged items or necessary repairs to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance Team.
• Handle lost and found items in line with hotel policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly to guest requests to enhance their stay.
• Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding and storing linens and towels.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, including correct use of PPE and cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.

• Physical stamina, with the ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects.
