Job summary

The Hotel Britomart is seeking a reliable Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team in a permanent part-time role. You will work 16 hours across two days each week, ensuring guest rooms are beautifully presented and guest privacy is respected.

No strict hotel experience required; we will train the right person with a keen eye for detail. Expect a supportive team, meals on duty, and staff discounts in a luxury Auckland hotel environment.

Qualifications

• You don’t necessarily need hotel experience; prior training will be provided.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms to high standards.
• Make beds and refresh linen, towels and amenities.
• Keep bathrooms and guest areas spotless.
• Respond promptly to guest requests.
• Maintain housekeeping trolley and work areas.
• Report maintenance issues, lost property or guest concerns.
• Cater to guest belongings while upholding privacy and security.
• Follow health, safety and sustainability practices.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office and Maintenance teams.

About therole

You’ll play animportant part in ensuring our guest rooms are beautifully presented and readyto welcome our guests. Your day will include:

• Cleaning and servicing guest rooms to our highstandards
• Making beds and refreshing linen, towels andamenities
• Ensuring bathrooms and guest areas are spotless
• Responding promptly to guest requests
• Maintaining your housekeeping trolley, equipmentand work areas
• Reporting maintenance issues, lost property orguest concerns
• Caring for guest belongings and maintaining privacyand security
• Following our health, safety and sustainabilitypractices
• Working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office andMaintenance teams.

About you

You don’t necessarily need hotel experience. We can teach you our standards if you bringthe right attitude.

You’ll besomeone who:

• Has an excellent eye for detail
• Is reliable, organised and comfortable workingindependently
• Enjoys an active, hands-on role
• Brings a positive attitude and enjoys being part ofa team
• Is comfortable with the physical requirements ofhousekeeping, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing andlifting
• Can communicate confidently with guests and teammembers

Previoushousekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred, but not essential.
