Job summary

Ibis Wellington, part-time Housekeeping Room Attendant, is seeking a motivated team member to keep guest rooms immaculate. The role involves cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, and ensuring privacy and security for guests, with a rotating roster including weekends.

You will contribute to personalised guest experiences and uphold Accor’s standards of cleanliness and service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably within the hotel industry.
• Eye for detail and an uncompromising approach to cleanliness.
• A friendly, customer-focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction.
• Initiative to ensure interactions with colleagues and guests are positive and efficient.
• The ability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster – including weekends and public holidays.
• You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned guest rooms to standard.
• Take initiative to add a personalised experience for the guest.
• Take ownership of guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service.
• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated.
• Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished to the correct standards.
• Report any lost property following correct procedures.
• Carry out programmed/regular cleaning duties as allocated.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled in line with hotel policy.
• Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment as set down in procedures manual.
• Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
• Ensure the security of keys and guest rooms at all times by adherence to security procedures.
• Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations.
• Any other reasonable request as required by your Supervisor or Hotel Management.

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dedicated Housekeeping Team at Ibis Wellington, on a Part Time basis working on rotating roster - availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays is a must!

In this role you will work within guest rooms, ensuring each room is kept clean, tidy and immaculately presented at all times. We are seeking people who go that extra mile to provide a memorable guest experience.

• Clean all assigned guest rooms to standard
• Take initiative to add a personalised experience for the guest
• Take ownership of guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service
• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated.
• Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished to the correct standards for the room type.
• Report any lost property following correct.
• Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled in line with Hotel policy.
• Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment as set down in procedures manual.
• Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
• Ensure the security of keys and guest rooms at all times by adherence to security procedures. Report any suspicious persons or items to Supervisor.
• Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
• Any other reasonable request as required by your Supervisor or Hotel Management.

• The ability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster – Including weekends and public holidays
• You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
