Job summary

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts' Wellington property is seeking two energetic Housekeeping Room Attendants to join the team on a part-time basis with a rotating roster, including weekends.

You will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms to the highest standards, maintaining privacy and safety, and delivering a welcoming guest experience while following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Eye for detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude and the drive to deliver guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work across a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• NZ residency or permanent NZ work visa required (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to standard and on schedule.
• Personalize guest experience while respecting privacy.
• Replenish supplies and advertising materials.
• Report lost property.
• Perform regular cleaning duties in rooms, storage areas and corridors.
• Ensure department equipment is maintained and report defects.
• Manage keys securely and follow security procedures.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for cleaning agents.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests from Supervisor or Hotel Management.

Job Description

We are seeking two energetic and passionate Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our dedicated Housekeeping Team at Movenpick Wellington, on a Part Time basis working on rotating roster - availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays is a must!

In this role you will work within guest rooms, ensuring each room is kept clean, tidy and immaculately presented at all times. We are seeking people who go that extra mile to provide a memorable guest experience.

• Clean all assigned guest rooms to standard
• Take initiative to add a personalised experience for the guest
• Take ownership of guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service
• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated.
• Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished to the correct standards for the room type.
• Report any lost property following correct.
• Carry out programmed / regular cleaning duties as allocated.
• Ensure guest laundry is handled in line with Hotel policy.
• Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment as set down in procedures manual.
• Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with regular equipment stocktaking.
• Ensure the security of keys and guest rooms at all times by adherence to security procedures. Report any suspicious persons or items to Supervisor.
• Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturers instructions.
• Any other reasonable request as required by your Supervisor or Hotel Management.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably within the hotel industry or similar
• Have an eye for detail and an uncompromising approach to standards of cleanliness
• A friendly, customer-focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction
• Initiative to ensure that interactions with colleagues and customers are positive and efficient
• The ability and flexibility to work across a 7 day roster – Including weekends and public holidays
• You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
