Queen's Rooftop & Wineshop in Auckland CBD is seeking an enthusiastic Host/Waiter to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will be the cornerstone of guest experience, coordinating front-of-house and delivering attentive table service in our rooftop venue.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year hosting experience or familiarity with Sevenrooms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food service, dining etiquette, and beverage service standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of wines or willingness to develop.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with late nights and weekends.
• Based in Auckland, NZ with a valid working visa.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests warmly upon arrival and managing bookings and walk-ins with grace.
• Seating guests thoughtfully, considering table preferences and party dynamics.
• Taking accurate food and beverage orders, with wine recommendations.
• Serving guests with attentiveness and professionalism, anticipating needs.
• Clearing tables promptly and maintaining cleanliness and presentation.
• Processing payments and managing the till with accuracy.
• Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service.
• Providing knowledgeable guidance on menu items, wine selections, and dietary needs.
• Managing reservations and guest inquiries with courtesy.
• Maintaining health and safety standards and venue policies.
