Job summary

OUR FRESH MARKET LIMITED in Auckland region is hiring for November and December to staff roadside fruit stalls. You will be based at our Otahuhu depot, pick up a supplied van, drive to your site, and set up the stall to display fresh fruit.

You will put up the tent, unload the van, manage stock, and interact with customers. Training is provided and weekend work is required. Sites are Auckland-wide with varying assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and cash handling.
• Ability to work weekends and handle money confidently.
• Able to operate independently at stall sites.

Responsibilities

• Pick up supplied van from Otahuhu base and drive to site.
• Put up tent, set up tables, unload van and display fruit.
• Manage stock, interact with customers and handle money.
• Stay at stall, maintain stock accuracy and quality control.
• Pack up at end of day and return to base.

Come and be a part of the team selling fresh seasonal fruit at roadside fruit stalls around the Auckland region.

We are looking for a couple more staff to join our existing team for November and December.

Hours are generally 9-630, 6 days a week (Monday's off). You must be available to work weekends.

We have sites Auckland wide, and your designated site will depend on skills, knowledge, and experience.

You will be required to come and pick up your van (supplied) from our base in Otahuhu and then drive to your site.
You will need to put up the tent, set up the tables, unload the van, and display the fruit for sale. You will be provided with an eftpos machine and money bag. You are required to stay at the stall, manage stock, and interact with customers. Good money handling skills are essential, and previous retail experience is preferred.
At the end of the day you will be required to pack everything up and return to base.

Full training will be given.

You must:

• Hold a restricted or full driver license, with a clean record
• Be able to work independently and as a team
• Have customer service experience
• Be honest and hardworking
• Be able to manage stock, including quality control
• Be available to work weekends

Our season starts October 29 and the last day is Christmas Eve/December 24th. You must be available to work the last week.

This is a direct customer facing role and for the most part you will be working on your own. Confidence in the ability to work independently is essential.
