Job summary

Kaitere Farms in Gisborne is seeking reliable, hardworking people to join our kiwifruit harvest crew. This outdoor role offers active work, learning new skills, and a chance to be part of a family-owned horticultural business as the season approaches.

You will be on your feet for about 8 hours a day, in varying weather, with 5–6 days per week. Pre-employment drug testing may apply. If you’re keen to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you.

We are a family-owned and operated horticultural business located 16km from beautiful Gisborne City. We specialise in Kiwifruit, Apples, and Grapes. We’re passionate about growing healthy food and growing a team as committed to quality as we are.

Our upcoming Kiwifruit Season is just around the corner, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to join our team!

This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, learn new skills, stay active, and be part of the process that helps produce some of New Zealand’s finest Kiwifruit!

What we’re looking for:

• Physically fit and able to work on your feet outdoors for around 8 hours a day
• Be comfortable working outdoors in a range of weather conditions
• Be at least 160cm tall to comfortably reach the overhead vines
• Have no existing back, neck, or shoulder injuries
• Have a positive, can-do attitude
• Be reliable and willing to learn new skills
• Have reliable transport
• Be available to work 8 hours per day, 5-6 days per week
