Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join the Ready to Respond - RFS team based in Albany, Auckland. You’ll lead a first response crew across maintenance work in the Auckland North network, working alongside a Supervisor to keep roads and public spaces safe.

This hands-on, rostered role includes pothole repairs, kerb work, and emergency response, with AM/PM shifts and weekends. You’ll read schedules, manage people and resources, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

Qualifications

• Class 2 NZ Driver Licence is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in RFS or cyclic maintenance, with Leading Hand or Team Lead exposure preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to lead a crew in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the crew on planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Coordinate people, equipment, and materials to keep works moving.
• Ensure work is completed on time with safety and environmental standards.
• Complete daily reports and related documentation accurately.
• Attend emergency callouts on a rostered basis, including weekends.
